Mausoleum

The cemetery in December.
Remnants of snow on the ground.
The stairs to the mausoleum intrigued me.
This mausoleum was on a hill
with stairs that led directly up into it.
I felt compelled to climb them
but was wary to do it.
I felt I might just want to keep going...
inside of the mausoleum.
As inviting as it was
I stopped at the door
but kept staring inside.

I like the way the composition of the stairs pretty much in a line to the top draws the eye to the mausoleum. Also intriguing in this photograph are the dead branches on the steps, like dried bones, left there are a warning to anyone who might dare to approach.
If I had any caveat to this image, it is that it's a bit too dark. A bit of lightening would make the bushes stand out more,plus make the leaves on the ground "pop".
